*Please note, I have absolutely no training in therapy, counseling, psychology, psychiatry, sociology or any other discipline that might imply I am qualified to counsel you. However I do have a very successful marriage, two wonderful healthy kids and a love of life and food that I think can help you.
That said, here's the idea: I am dedicated to bringing bliss to every couple who truly wants it and is willing to work for it. I believe that cooking together provides key time for communicating, as well as some basic training in said communication. The couple that cooks together and eats together stands a far higher chance of staying together.
We'll start by going over kitchen ground rules, things like choose a lead cook, and then respect that persons authority over the kitchen. Don't second guess the lead cook, don't complain about the food, or the ingredients. Give every creation an honest try and always find something good to say about your partner's efforts.
Then we'll crank up the tunes and get cooking. This is a good time for you to increase your kitchen skills and show off the ones you already have. Just remember to be respectful of each other. Just because one of you only knows how to burn water doesn't mean you can't get along in the kitchen with a little friendly help!
All of these cooking skills translate easily into the daily routine of a healthy relationship. I can't guarantee your relationship will last, but I do promise you some fun and fond memories from your time in the kitchen together!
This is also a good opportunity for newer couples to get to know each other in a friendly and healthy way!
